A little extra about what Im looking for....
I am interested in the gt80 or the sager np9870... others are not out of the question, but I want the best graphics card I can get. I am a little concerned about it being a 10 lb laptop plus the power brick because I will be taking it with me to and from work. I understand that its not super mobile friendly, but Im not walking more than a few blocks with it in my back back either.
I do understand that to get the performance I am looking for I will have to have the weight. I did look at the gs70 series, but am concerned that the 970m wont be good enough for me.
I have heard of issues with the gt80 using more power than the brick can supply and thus using the battery also and the troubles that go with that. Is that still an issue? Do any other laptops have this issue?
I am transitioning from a macbook pro and this will be my first serious gaming laptop and my first windows lap top in quite some time. Is there any other lap top you would recommend me looking into?... my budget is in the $3K - 3.5K, although I would like to stay under $3K if possible.
I am doing research and looking at all kinds of reviews for these laptops. I will be looking to purchase in the next 2 -3 weeks.
Looking for gaming lap top for $3000 - $3500... New to gaming computers!
