Up to $1000 USD

2) What size notebook would you prefer?
14" and smaller

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: anyone
b. Dislike: Alienware

5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?

Might depend on price, but I'd prefer new. I just really want to avoid having any issues with them.

6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Primarily school use using Google apps. Also some semi-intensive gaming

7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
In and out of backpack 8+hours, limited access to power, and moderate use throughout the day.

8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
I'd also like to play modded minecraft and emulate with Dolphin. Dolphin recommends atleast Intel i5 processor and Nvidia 4xx+, AMD 4.0-1192, or Intel HD3000/HD4000.

9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
Needs a battery that can last five or six periods with limited access to charging. The most intensive thing I would be doing on battery power would be watching videos.

10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?

Online is fine as long as the reviews are adequate and the laptop is quality.

11) What OS do you prefer? Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc.

Windows, Mac OS will be considered.

14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?

I like sleek and metal finish but not super important. Alienware is super ugly though.

2 years minimum

17) How much hard drive space do you need? Do you want a SSD drive?

SSD yes 250GB aprox

18) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD Burner, Blu-ray Reader or Blu-Ray Burner?
