I have been studying the E7470 manual. Page 12 indicates two separate M.2 slots with SATA being on the right side and PCEe being near the left side. Page 32 (BIOS options) states:
Allows you to configure the SATA drives on board. All drives are enabled by default. The options are:
• SATA-1
• M.2 PCI-e SSD-0
• SATA-2
This implies that the two SSDs can be installed concurrently. However, the boot sequence description (page 31) does not differentiate between the two types of SSD but that may be because the text is generic (page 43 mentions mSATA!).
In spite of the possibility of having two SSDs, I won't be queuing up for this notebook. I relish the quiet fan on my dGPU E7450 and it looks like the E7470 has the basic, noisier, fan (as on the E7440 and E7450).
