XPS 9530 USB connects/disconnects

HI all,

I had this laptop (xps 9530) since November 2013 and there has always been an issue with USB devices. Flash drives and external drives seem to be fine, however, mobile devices, tablets, hubs, USB adapters constantly have issues. As soon as they are connected to any USB port (2.0 or 3.0), the plugged-in sound plays, then unplugged, and then it will connect/disconnect/reconnect randomly until it is unplugged.

I have tried the same devices in other laptops/systems running Windows XP/7/8/8.1 and all work fine. I also tried booting to Linux on the XPS and got the same issues as in windows.

I'm on A06, every time a new BIOS version comes, I install it hoping that'll fix the problem, however, to no avail.

Has anyone else had this or similar?
