Should i buy a XPS 15 or wait for the new MBP later on this year

I have been contemplating buying a new laptop for a long time now. I was waiting for the newer MBP with sky or kaby lake in it. However my patience is now growing thin since my primary 14inch HP ENVY died on me.

I have another 17inch envy which is too big to carry on.

Let me answer the regular questions

· What is your budget? Between $1500-1700

· What size notebook would you prefer? Between 13"-15

· Where will you buying this notebook? USA

· Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Apple (however the wait grows on me )

b. Dislike: I don't dislike any by need a good-looking sturdy lightweight laptop

· Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed? NO

· What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

o I would be using it work – Connecting over RDP or Citrix to my office machine

o Will be using it for Photo Editing, After Effects.

· Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
40% Desk 60% travel, my job requires me to be on call so I need something with decent battery, excellent wifi and lightweight

· Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Lightweight maybe.

· How many hours of battery life do you need?
Above 6 hrs

· Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
Without seeing is OK

Windows or Mac , no pure Linux variants ( fedora etc )

· Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Yes very important

· When are you buying this laptop?
Already ordered a DELL XPS 15 –However planning to cancel the order since I have read about a lot of issues. ( I was mesmerized by the build and design so jumped the gun )
Within 10 days

· How long do you want this laptop to last?
3-4 years at the very least ( I will not have enough money to buy a new one within that timeframe )

I would like a laptop where at least ram and ssd is replaceable so that I do a minor upgrade after a year or two if needed. This will be a big plus for me.

I selected dell xps because they say that it has w 15inch screen in a 14 inch body.

I looked at Latitude 7270 and ThinkPad 460s and ThinkPad x260 as well, before I order the XPS 15.
