XP941 to Samsung 950 Pro cloning in P770ZM-G

The P770ZM-G has 2 M.2 drive slots (one by the hard drives and another by the GPU). I want to clone the XP941 that I had in my P750ZM to the 950 Pro. Does it really matter which drive is in which slot? I will be pulling the XP941 out after the cloning and using it some other system.

Further, what is your favorite cloning software? I used to use Norton Ghost long ago but cannot find my copy anymore. (doesn't help that I have moved 3 times since the last time I used it.) I have used Clonezilla most recently.
