New SSD for Inspiron 15 7000 Series 7559

My Inspiron 15 7000 Series 7559 came with a 128GB SSD, on which the OS is installed.

I purchased a third party 500 GB SSD as an upgrade.

I used the Windows CP to create a USB restore drive.

I can't figure out how to get the system to recognize the new drive and install the OS after changing them out. I keep getting an error that a required partition is missing.

Can anyone point me to a set of step-by-step instructions to resolve? I tried for hours to set up the new SSD with diskpart from the Command Line from the USB, but I'm obviously missing something (probably obvious).
