I'm looking for a portable laptop with TB3 within my budget.

Hey everyone. I'm looking for a portable, quiet if not under load laptop with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 2. I know that the new models are coming out in the next few months, but I sadly can't wait with it, nor will I have the budget to buy them anyway. So, if possible, I'd want a 970m and a 6th gen i7 processor. If my budget doesn't allow it, I'm fine with a 960m. I've been looking for a laptop the past few months with my requirements, but I couldn't find anything... missed a few sales too sadly.

1) What is your budget?
My budget goes up to max $1200 without taxes, but I would prefer if it stayed around the $1000 mark, but I know that's not possible, unless there's a sale.

2) What size notebook would you prefer?
Thin and Light; 14" - 16" screen

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
I don't really care.
5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
If you guys know a trustworthy re seller, then yes.

6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Light gaming, college school projects (video editing, 3d modeling and rendering, photshop)

7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
To school and back, so... both.

8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Dark Souls 3, Rocket League, Overwatch, GTA5, Battlefield 1

9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
A few hours of just browsing, watching videos is fine by me.

10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
If it's a refurbished one, I would prefer to see the damage (if there's any) before buying. Don't care much about it if it's a new one.

11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (Windows 7 / 8), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
Don't care what's on it, but I'd like to stay away from Macs

Glossy, but I don't mind matte as I have a desktop monitor.

Build Quality and Design

Not at all

a few years (3-5) if possible.

Notebook Components

17) How much hard drive space do you need? Do you want a SSD drive?
I'd like an SSD for heavier stuff and the OS and 1TB HDD for everything else, but if it's possible to upgrade, I can just buy a m.2 later.

18) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD Burner, Blu-ray Reader or Blu-Ray Burner?
Nope, I'd prefer if it didn't have one, or if I could switch it to an extra HDD or SSD.
