I had these issues for a while also but was able to find a fix. Sometimes I had to try booting 4-5 times to get Windows to load.
Step one, if you can't get Windows to load, hold the left Shift key when you boot your computer and navigate to the "Disable Driver Signature Check/Enforcement" during startup.
I'm betting that it's some video driver issue that is causing the boot trouble. This is what the problem was on my G73jh.
Here are my additional fix details for common Windows 10 issues with G73jh:
1. FIX: Windows sometimes hangs when booting or resuming from hibernate.
Completely remove all AMD video drivers. Run the Catalyst Install Manager and "express uninstall all" if you are able.
You'll know if the drivers have been removed as your LCD will drop to a non-native resolution.
Download and install the AMD Windows 10 drivers from the AMD.com website. Filename is amd-catalyst-15.7.1-win10-64bit.exe.
ADDITIONAL STEP: Try disabling "Driver Signature Enforcement" during startup. An alternate method to disable driver signature enforcement:
Open an elevated command-prompt (run as Admin):
execute the command below, and reboot:
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
2. FIX: LCD brightness control not working:
Go to Registry Editor (regedit.exe)
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000
Next, go find:
MD_EnableBrightnesslf2
KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2
Set both to 0.
Reboot.
ADDITIONAL STEP: In Device Manager, disable your video adapter "Radeon HD 5000 series" and re-enable.
Retest your LCD brightness settings.
3. FIX: Asus on-screen display does not work.
Uninstall the current ATK driver.
Download and install the latest ATK driver from Asus, filename: ATKPackage_Win10_64_VER100039.zip
EDIT: 11/3/2015:
4. FIX: DISABLE the LAN adapter (Atheros AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet Controller) to fix the freeze at boot-up issue with Windows 10. I have kept my LAN adapter disabled and I've not had a lockup in several weeks. If you really need to use the LAN, the workaround is the disable LAN before shutdown/hibernate/restart, and re-enable the LAN only when you need it. Don't forget to disable it again or you'll freeze at your next boot. Interestingly, wireless works great all the time.
