Alienware 17 R3 Coil Whine

Gonna necro this thread.

My Alienware 17 R3 started doing some unusual sounds today that seem to be coil whine, that didn't exist before.

These two particular samples i was only moving the mouse with no applications running, but the pitch and frequency of this change as i do different activities, HDD read/write is particularly the noisiest, while running a game basically eliminates it.

I just noticed this however and it could get worse for all i know, but the real question is....is it an indicator of a failing component??, my warranty has only 5 days left, should i be contacting dell and get and extension?
