Quality down to the bone, huh? That's fricking hilarious, but hey, at least Xiaomi didn't ruin the premium feel of metal by covering it with painted plastic like a certain other manufacturer. I hope he tests the Pro version later on as it would be interesting to see if the tougher ceramic back to a small degree is able is able to support the weak frame of this phone.

If anyone is interested to know how the Mi 5 launch has gone so far, the short answer is bad. Even with Foxconn working overtime in advance to ensure adequate supply, the March 1 launch can only be described as a flash sale. Moreover, only the lower-end, white 32GB model actually shipped out to customers in March; those who didn't get lucky or ordered a different model simply had to wait a whole lot longer, with orders of the Pro yet to be fulfilled (ETA: April 30). Their next flagship, the Xiaomi Max, will reportedly launch in May.

I wish I didn't need a new phone so badly. The Xperia X Premium could possibly be a Sony phone done right...
