Which display should I get for my Sager np8657?

I have been torn between the normal 1080 display and the IPS 1080 display w/ G-sync.

I had heard that NVidia's Optimus software didn't work with G-sync displays. So, I am stuck between having better visuals with the IPS, or have a better battery life with the normal display and NVidia's optimus software.

There is also the backlight bleed lottery. Which one would have less chance to have bleed?

Finally, is the normal display a TN display? All the Sager page mentions is that it is FHD.
