Trying To Choose A 17.3" Laptop .

Hi Guys ,
I currently use an old refurbished Lenovo T410 , 8GB , 1TB - if it had a 17" screen and was equipped with more up to date components I would keep it but the time has come to upgrade - My main interests are Photography and watching films as well as the usual surfing , blogging etc .
Many sites recommend the Dell XPS 15 but I am adamant that I want a 17.3" sized machine and have narrowed it down to around four or five . I live in the UK [ North West Scotland ] .
My budget is anything up to £2000 but I'd rather spend less .

1. My first choice is PC Specialist's Octane 2 [ Clevo P771DM ]

2. Equal 1st is the Dell Precision M7710 [ refurbished ]

3. Alienware 17 R3

4. Lenovo Y70

5. Lenovo Ideapad Y900 [ not yet released ]

Now whenever I've been looking at recommended laptops for Photo Editing invariable the suggestions are Gaming Laptops but I am looking for something that will last and is sturdy , weight isn't a factor , neither is battery life - reliability is . I would have added the Lenovo Thinkpad P70 but in reality it is out of my reach but there are one or two refurbished Dell 7710 out there that I can afford .
I've read negative and positive articles about Dell but would be interested in hearing first hand reports from actual owners of any of the above or recommendations of any 17.3" machines .
