I would like to have one, but not a deal-breaker.

Hi all, I'm looking for a gaming laptop that's 15-17in. I'm not a newbie to desktop gaming or specs, but I haven't kept up to date with the laptop scene, so feel free to use technical language! The two that I've looked into is:
Sager NP8677-S http://ift.tt/2a0HHaw
Asus G751JT-WH71(WX) http://ift.tt/1QG5cjf

I'm well aware of Sager/Clevo's positive reputation, but I had a hard time finding reviews for this particular build. The main things I'm concerned about with the Sager is heating and battery life. Does anyone know how hot it gets on full load? I wasn't able to find anything in the owner's lounge.

The Asus seems like an almost equivalent alternative. It's about $200 cheaper for the configuration I want, the only difference being that it comes with an optical drive but only uses DDR3 ram instead of Sager's DDR4. Is there a catch I'm missing here?

The third option would be to purchase a laptop of about the same value that you fine folks could recommend. I'm open to both 15in and 17in, as I haven't entirely decided which one I want.
Thanks for your time! I can answer any additional questions if I've left something out.
