AW13 r2 cold boot issue

I have searched and seem to find anything on this, I'm sure I'm overlooking it. Everytime they (friend) turns on their 13 it sits at the Alienware splash screen. It doesn't start the boot process. Turn it off and hen back on and it will boot right up. He has a m.2 950 pro in it. It is a r2 skylake with the i7-6500 CPU.
This happens every single time. Any ideas?
