To G-Sync or not to G-Sync?

Hi.

I'm looking at these two. My budget is $1000-1400 tops.
One has G-Sync, the other does not, but comes with the newer kaby lake proc.
How do you guys feel about G-Sync? Once you have it you cannot go back, or can you live without it?
