Headset 3.5 Jack not picking up mic

Hi Guys,

I am having problems getting my inline mic to work on my headset with the combo jack.

It worked fine out of the box and gave a jack dialogue prompt when plugging in the headset.

I then did a fresh win 10 install and repad/paste and now I cant get the mic working in the headset jack.

It does work if I use a dual ended spliter and plug into both jacks.

I have tried everything, uninstalled all audio with revo with no internet connection restart then reinstall Dell Audio drivers...
