L502X fan constantly running with Windows 10

Hi All,

I've just upgraded my L502x i7 to Windows 10. Its been a great upgrade, except that since upgrading, the fan now runs constantly.

the L502Xs have always had fan issues (on/off/on/off etc) but now my fan just runs constantly.

Has anyone experienced similar, and found a fix that works for them??

Two years ago I bought a Dia-1614 (Clevo P650) from Mythlogic, and chose them specifically because they had a stellar service record on these forums. I have been on the creators update for a short while and am experiencing random freezes (1-3 times a day), requiring forced reboots.

The symptoms are strange (and get progressively worse):

Hi, I still use a Clevo D900F as my main laptop

Recently it has begun to freeze prompting a forced restart, it doesn't make any sense to me because it occurs when NOT under load. I can play games non stop, but if I do something as simple as use event viewer or browse files(not even opening them), it'll have an episode. The next odd thing... IT NEVER CRASHES WITH A SECOND MONITOR CONNECTED. Only when using a single monitor... I don't get why this is happening...

1070 laptop: GT73VR, GT62VR, GT72VR reboot/crash problem

Purchased msi gt72vr 7re back in March,

While playing games the system rebooted randomly,

Sent the laptop to msi, they installed BIOS 86.04.5B.00.82 and limits 1070 clock to 1443mhz.

Msi told me they are working with nvidia to resolve this issue, but it seems is taking a lot of time and the 6RE version of this laptop, from August 2016, suffers from this.

This is a warning to people that are interested in buying a msi laptop with 1070 gtx.

I'm starting this new discussion as there are quite a number of us suffering from this issue. Just to be clear, i recently got my laptop replaced with the 7820HK GTX1080, cpu core temperature differential problem is still there by about 10C but that's not the main issue. XPS 13 2015 Won't Turn On ... Died

So up until today I absolutely loved this machine. Amazing form factor (love the minimal bezel, really makes watching movies or doing work seem like it's just floating there), exceptionally fast, and awesome price. The touchpad never bothered me that much once I got used to it and battery at least for me, using on work trips and watching movies still lasted 8h with screen at 50% brightness since it's a bright screen at baseline. The only downside had been the slow charge speed....

Hello everyone,

I am using my M4800 for nearly 2 years now since it was released.

However, back then, I didn't know the graphics card was meant for 3D and video editing. I only got it because of its high processing power and high RAM.

Anyway, is it possible to upgrade the GPU?

I've read in different forums and posts somewhere stating that it is impossible due to gpu size issues, TOP, and so on.

Any one can share their insights here? Like does that mean I cannot really upgrade? And if...

After some digging it looks like the MSI GT 15.6" in flavor is making a return in the form of the GT62 VR edition. This appears to be an actual GT62 and not that unbranded barebones with a desktop CPU that we've seen in the past. An official GT62! So far I've seen 2 SKUs with the 6700HQ and 6820HK but GPU and screen is unlisted.

I was recently looking into new laptops, and I could find almost no information on this laptop from someone who owns one. I have one, and I'm reasonably happy with it. It's not perfect, but providing the hardware stands the test of time, I'm glad I bought it.

I bought it from HIDevolution whom I have had excellent service from, but got it from their Amazon UK store, as import taxes and delivery costs to Europe were making it too expensive. I do wish I'd been able to buy one from their UK...

How Good/Bad is the Razer Blade reliability truly?

I keep hearing drastically different reports on this from Overheating Mofsets to bad screens etc.... Those of you who have owned a blade for awhile (Which year do you have, and how has it been to you?)

im wondering, that no one is talking about the new Zbook 17 G3 and there is no thread for it? So i just opened one, please report your experience or thoughts about this workstation.

Im pending between ordering an old 8770w (looks more robust) with the maxed out specs or waiting for the new zbook 17 with the Xeon CPU and the M5000M (but it has some weak points for me like: design, quality issues etc)

Prema BIOS questions

So I just read on a thread that you can only get a Prema BIOS through a reseller that supports it.. back in my P151EM1 days they were just available to download.. and I was rather looking forward to tinkering with it on my P775DM3

Is this accurate? Is there no other way either through donation or maybe even a replacement BIOS chip to get a Prema BIOS these days?
